Voices of Spring - Charles Mutter, Ilona Domnich and Tom Blach

Pretty much every Friday night on Radio 3 you will hear Friday Night is Music Night, which typically features the BBC Concert Orchestra. Our ensemble for this concert has no less a violinist than Charles Mutter, who regularly leads the BBC Concert Orchestra, and many others, as one of the top violinists in the country. He is also an arranger, including music for Emmerdale. Apart from playing the viola and piano as well as the violin, he has played before with us in 2023, and his aunt was married in Stoke Damerel Church!

Ilona Domnich is is a lyric soprano, described by Opera Now as” A memorable voice of silken beauty with a luminous edge to the tone, a sensitive musician and an actress of magnetic presence”.

Tom Blach is a seasoned accompanist, who has also taught at Guildhall, and has appeared on Radio 3 as well as Wigmore Hall.
